All of a Sudden, My Day Got Better

SO BREDA POSTED A pic to Facebook this morning. It didn’t really register on me. It wasn’t totty, so — yeah, I got the joke, but…

Does this qualify as Rule One content?

Then I checked in at Instapundit and saw the headline. Even so, I still was going, “Oh, that’s nice speculation. Let’s see what rationale they have for it.” So I clicked through.

Wha-hat? It’s official?

Then I went to Rachel’s, because I remember she had that same picture posted earlier, so I went to see if I could find where it came from.

And, of course, Rachel is over the moon. Me, too.

Well, not quite so much as when McCain announced la Palin, because — check it out — hot chick, but — still…

Paul Ryan is going to take Barry to school. Perhaps Mittens might have someone approach a certain band for rights to use a song in the campaign:

Won’t you take me back to school
I need to learn the Golden Rule…

And how many words have I got to say?
And how many times will it be this way?
With your arms around the future
And your back up against the past…

You’re already falling,
It’s calling you back to face the music
And the Song that is coming through…
You’re already falling.
The one that it’s calling
Is you!

  1. I still have my doubts about Romney (he’s flip-flopped too many times for my liking), but I believe he believes in this country…as opposed to the current occupent of the Oval Office…and if nothing else, the choice of Ryan is a solid nod toward the more conservative (and constitutional) loving side of the voting public.

Ryan/Biden debates….come on!! you can’t debate a cardboard cut out, with a taped note from “Epstine’s Mother”, on the lapel. But I would fork up some serious cash to see an Obama/Ryan debate, if only to watch Obambi’s teleprompter go into meltdown.

Some are comparing this to McCain’s choice of Palin. The intellectual, and debating prowess alone, are head and shoulders above Governor Palin’s. (And I like her, but don’t think she is, at the very least, “thick-skinned” enough, for this kind of race/position. Yeah, I know, like the current putz is?) Ryan has the creds, and has had visibility long before being placed in this limelight. Unlike Palin, he is not an unknown quantity. And that is going to make a difference.

Still, a lot can happen between now and November. Though I just got to thinking…isn’t this something akin to Bush/Chaney? Chaney was considered the much more conservative of the two. Could this be the 2012 version of the same?
